To help you with your writing and us saving some time editing posts, we have established a few guidelines for you below. They are not “must follow” rules but might help your post “fit” better in the overall presentation of our website and get the attention it deserves. 

Subjects

All posts must be related to the general topic of gifts. The spectrum is quite large and you can choose to talk about tips for finding a great gift or just anything that could be considered and offered as a gift: how-to tutorials, tips on online shopping, practical gifts, tips on how to save online, “green” gifts, gifts for kids, gifts for pets, Valentine’s gifts, Christmas gifts, personalized gifts, wedding gifts, etc.  Even more theoretical posts are welcome!

Our readers visit us mainly for the affordable and unique gift ideas so whatever you write about should be appealing to most budgets. In our opinion, “affordable” is not “cheap”. Please bear this in mind.

Originality

The posts should be original and previously unpublished. Absolutely NO plagiarism is allowed. Please note that we receive a lot of guest posts and originality makes the difference between being or not being published.

Editing

Please note that we do edit posts that appear on 1HappyCorner.com. In general, the modifications we make include theoretical, technical, grammatical/spelling and educational aspects of the post such as poorly constructed sentences, spelling, stylistic, errors of logic or fact, etc.

Please don’t be offended by this; we are just trying to make the post very successful and appealing to our audience.

Our hope is that we publish a post that is really informative and fun and that brings people back - which is good for you as the author and 1HappyCorner.com as a whole!

Post Length

You can write as much as you need in order to convey your message. Don’t worry about length or word count, just write what you have to say. Post length is never a factor but originality and quality are!

Images

At 1HappyCorner.com we like to use images to better convey the message to the public. Images add more personality and grab attention. If you don’t have an image for your post, don’t worry! We’ll find one! If you do submit an image, please make sure that it can be used in terms of copyright.

Byline

We are happy to promote you, your blog or website so when you submit your post, please tell us about you in 1-2 sentences that will appear at the bottom of the post. Feel free to include up to 2 links to your website/blog/profile. We’ll also write 1 short introductory sentence at the top of the post that will contain your main link.  

Exlusivity 

We expect that you submit posts that you have written exclusively for 1HappyCorner.com While you are more than welcome to write on the same topic elsewhere, our hope is that posts that are published on 1HappyCorner.com are not published in the same form elsewhere.

We do not guarantee that your post will be published. Only the most interesting and well-written articles will be approved.
