The Story behind Fairytale Brownies

What I probably like the most is the story behind this business! Eileen Spitalny and David Kravetz (the co-Founders) have been friends since kindergarten; they went to school together. At an early age they decided they wanted to be successful entrepreneurs and start a business together. So, in 1992 Fairytale Brownies was born in a friend’s kitchen using a 50 year old family recipe. Right now, they have their own 26,000-square-foot facility and bake over 2.5 million brownies annually.

They have received many awards and have been featured on TV shows, newspapers and magazines accross the country. You can see their interviews and video collection on youtube.

There is something inherently right about a man relaxing on a HAMMOCK. It’s just one of those things a guy should be able to do. Kind of like relaxing in a rocking-chair by the fireplace with a dog faithfully resting at your feet.

I don’t have a dog or a rocking chair, but I’ve already put my bid in for a HAMMOCK. In fact I already (in as subtle a manner as possible) let my wife know how great a HAMMOCK would be for Father’s Day.

In fact, thanks to great folks at Men’s Best Gifts, I now know that there is no such think as “just” a hammock! MBG has no less that 100 different types of hammocks for you to choose from! Heck I just want something to sling between two trees so I can take a nap!

Among the many hammocks that sport names like “Tequila Surprise” or “Urban Balance”, my favorite is the simple but efficient “Carry Along Hammock” which is lightweight and comes with everything you need (carrying case, tree straps, hooks) except two trees. But that’s me. If you’re looking for something a little more upscale, you’re sure to find it at Men’s Best Gifts where the hammocks run from the super-accessible ($39.99) to the super-expensive (699.99).

But I ask you, can you really put a price on your relaxation?

However, the best price we found online on the “Carry Along Hammock” is $14.99 (it’s on SALE!!) at Amazon.

The timing is just about right: Father’s Day gives you just enough lead-time to order the model of your choice now and have it in plenty of time for your special day in late June.

Of course if you’re like me, EVERY day should be a special day, which means having a hammock on hand to relax in is something you’ll get hours and hours of pleasure from.
