Using Product Reviews When Buying Gifts

computerAccording to a recent study released by iCrossing, a global digital marketing company, 39-percent of online adults make purchases through the Internet monthly. Of those that shop online, 70-percent say online reviews are extremely or very important factors in their decision-making process. Before you buy another gift, check out these sites that are designed to let you see what other people feel about the product you’re about to purchase.

Epinions.com

At Epinions.com you can read reviews on millions of products and services. You can even write reviews of products you’ve used. Read reviews on books, fitness equipment or electronics. Not sure of the right MP3 player to buy your boyfriend? Check out Epinions.com for reviews and also to find which online store is selling the model you want for less.

WebStoreList.com

Sure you’ve heard of Ebay and Amazon, but how about Kneeplace.com or Lederbazaar.com? WebStoreList.com is a catalog of some of the more obscure online shops that carry unique items for that hard-to-buy-for person you know. Through this site you can also see how these smaller online storefronts are rated by others. When you’re using a shop that’s not exactly well known it’s good to find out what others think about their service and products.

Smarter.com

Smarter.com will make you a smart shopper. Unlike other sites, Smarter.com pulls reviews and ratings from hundreds of other retailers. That way you are seeing what lots of people think, not just one or two. Smarter.com will also show you if coupons are available and select an online retailer that they call the “Smarter Choice.”
